Chessmate is a chess opening trainer designed for players who want to stop losing in the first ten moves. Built for iPhone and Android, it turns opening theory into a recall practice: you follow curated lines on a board, review positions on a spaced schedule, and challenge yourself to play the right move from memory. Whether you play the Sicilian Defense or Queen's Gambit, Chessmate helps you reach the middlegame with a plan instead of guesswork.

What Makes Chessmate Stand Out

Board recall training: Unlike videos or books, Chessmate makes you answer move by move on an interactive board, so the position sticks.
Spaced repetition: Due positions return on a smart schedule, reinforcing memory right before you forget.
Curated opening courses: Focus on practical lines and key branches for openings like the Sicilian, French, Italian, Ruy Lopez, and Queen's Gambit.
Three study modes: Study, Review, and Challenge modes take you from following a line to playing it from memory under game-like pressure.
Practical notes: Each important move includes a short explanation, so you understand the idea, not just the sequence.

Who Should Use Chessmate

Beginner to intermediate chess players who often lose in the opening and want to build a solid repertoire.
Online players who face the same openings repeatedly and want to convert that experience into an edge.
Club players looking for a structured, efficient way to prepare for tournament games without reading long theory books.
