Variabl is a sales commission software platform built for finance, revenue operations, and sales leadership teams that manage complex incentive compensation programs. It replaces spreadsheets, brittle rules engines, and consultant-built logic with a no-code plan builder, a scalable calculation engine, and AI-native seller insights. The product targets organizations where commission plans change frequently, where data volumes and organizational hierarchies are large, and where payout errors or slow processing cycles create friction between sellers and finance. It connects to CRM, ERP, payroll, and data sources such as Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, PostgreSQL, Zoho, and Namely so payment data stays in sync.

What Makes Variabl Stand Out

No-code commission plan builder: Finance and RevOps teams create, launch, and manage compensation structures using a library of reusable, pre-tested plan components, with effective-date versioning for plans, rules, and roles.

High-volume calculation engine: In-memory processing handles large datasets, complex hierarchies, multiple payout calendars, currencies, and business units without slow batch runs.

Commission workflow automation: Approvals, adjustments, exceptions, routing, and statement generation and distribution run through a no-code automation engine instead of manual handoffs and email threads.

Seller transparency and AI assistance: Reps get modern dashboards, detailed commission statements, earnings simulation and preview tools, plus an AI-powered assistant that explains payouts in plain language.

Governance and auditability: Full audit trails across data, rules, and processing events, along with role-based access controls, sandbox environments, historical data versioning, and SOC I and SOC II Type II compliance.

Who Should Use Variabl

Revenue operations and finance teams managing incentive compensation across multiple business units, currencies, and payout calendars who need accurate, auditable results without heavy reliance on third-party consultants.

Sales leaders and account executives who want clear, real-time visibility into quota attainment and payouts, including simulation tools for planning and forecasting.

Growing companies moving off spreadsheets that have outgrown manual commission tracking but find legacy incentive compensation management suites too costly or rigid to implement quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Variabl?

Variabl is a cloud-based sales commission and incentive compensation management platform. It covers plan design, commission automation, calculations, seller statements, and governance in one system, and syncs with CRM, ERP, and payroll tools so payouts remain accurate as the business changes.

How does Variabl handle complex commission plans?

Plans are assembled from pre-tested components in a no-code builder that supports advanced logic and conditions. Effective-date versioning lets teams change rules without rebuilding prior periods, and the calculation engine processes high data volumes with in-memory performance across multiple calendars and currencies.

What are the limitations of Variabl?

Variabl is aimed at organizations with meaningful commission complexity and volume, so very small teams may find a spreadsheet or a simpler tool sufficient. Pricing is quote-based and starts with a demo, and full value depends on integrating your CRM, ERP, and payroll systems.
