1. Introduction
Welcome to FridayHunt. These Terms of Service govern your use of our platform, which focuses on discovering and supporting projects.
By using FridayHunt, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.
2. Using Our Service
Age Requirements: You must be at least 13 years old to use FridayHunt.
Account Responsibility: If you create an account, you're responsible for maintaining its security and for all activities under your account.
Acceptable Use: When using FridayHunt, you agree not to:
- Post content that's illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights
- Misrepresent yourself or your affiliation with others
- Interfere with the platform's operation or security
- Collect user data without permission
- Use the service for unauthorized commercial purposes
3. Content
Your Content: When you submit projects, comments, or other content on FridayHunt, you retain ownership, but grant us permission to display and use that content on our platform.
Responsibility: You're responsible for the content you submit. Make sure you have the right to share it and that it doesn't violate any laws or these terms.
Our Rights: We can remove any content at our discretion if we believe it violates these terms or might harm our platform, users, or third parties.
Content Enhancement: To improve the quality and discoverability of projects on FridayHunt, we may enhance, reformat, or optimize the detailed descriptions you provide. This may include improving readability, SEO optimization, or restructuring content while preserving the original meaning and key information. By submitting content to FridayHunt, you consent to these enhancements.
4. Launches, Payments & Backlinks
FridayHunt runs a weekly launch cycle. All launches go live on Fridays at 14:00 UTC. We accept a limited number of projects each week — up to 6 free and 10 premium launches — on a first-come, first-served basis.
Free launch — $0
- Listed on your launch day
- Schedule up to 45 days ahead
- No guaranteed backlink and no homepage feature. A dofollow backlink is earned only by finishing in the weekly top 3 and embedding our badge (see below)
Premium — $10 one-time
- Guaranteed dofollow backlink from FridayHunt
- Featured on the homepage
- Skip the free queue with priority scheduling
- Schedule up to 30 days ahead
- All future Premium perks included at no extra cost
One-time payments. Premium is a single one-time charge per launch, not a subscription. Prices are shown in USD. VAT or sales tax may apply based on your location and is calculated at checkout.
Payments & Merchant of Record
Payments are processed by Polar, which acts as our Merchant of Record. This means Polar handles checkout, payment processing, invoicing, and the collection and remittance of applicable taxes (such as VAT). Your purchase is subject to Polar's Terms in addition to these Terms. We do not store your full payment card details.
Badges & backlinks. Projects that finish in the weekly top 3 receive exclusive achievement badges. For free launches, a dofollow backlink is granted only when you embed our badge — with a dofollow link back to your FridayHunt project page — on your website. Premium launches receive a guaranteed dofollow backlink regardless of ranking. We may verify that the badge remains in place and may revoke a backlink if the badge or its dofollow link is removed.
Approval & scheduling. Every submission is subject to review and approval. We may reject or reschedule a launch that does not meet our quality or content guidelines. Launch slots are limited and not guaranteed until confirmed.
Refunds. Because a Premium launch delivers a digital placement tied to a specific scheduled date, payments are generally non-refundable once your launch has gone live. If we reject your submission or are unable to deliver your scheduled launch, you may request a refund of the launch fee through Polar. For refund requests, contact us via the contact form.
5. Intellectual Property
FridayHunt platform contains components based on the FridayHunt project, which is licensed under the MIT License. In accordance with the MIT License requirements, we maintain the original copyright notices and license text within our codebase.
FridayHunt Platform: All rights to the FridayHunt platform, including its design, functionality, and proprietary features, are reserved by FridayHunt's owners. The platform code, design, and business logic may not be copied, modified, or distributed without explicit permission.
User Content: Content submitted by users (including project listings, comments, and profiles) remains the property of the respective users, who grant FridayHunt a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content on our platform and for promotional purposes.
6. Third-Party Content
FridayHunt may contain links to third-party websites or services, including projects. We're not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third parties.
Your interactions with third-party services are between you and that third party.
7. Termination
We can suspend or terminate your access to FridayHunt at any time for any reason, particularly if you violate these terms.
If your account is terminated, you'll no longer have access to your content or account information.
8. Disclaimers
FridayHunt is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We're not responsible for the accuracy or reliability of any content posted by users or third parties.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, FridayHunt and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use our service.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes, but it's your responsibility to review these terms periodically.
Your continued use of FridayHunt after changes means you accept the updated terms.
