White Screen by ScreenWhite is a browser-based tool that turns any display into a pure white background in one click. It is designed for video callers who need soft fill light, designers and artists who trace paper on a screen, and technicians who check monitors for flaws. The page requires no account, stores nothing, and paints the white colour in the first frame so there is no flash or loading delay.

What Makes White Screen Stand Out

Instant fullscreen display: Click Full screen or press F to fill the entire display with pure white. The colour is inline in the HTML, so it appears before CSS or JavaScript run.
Adjustable brightness and colour temperature: Sliders control overall brightness and Kelvin temperature from 2000K to 9000K. The base colour changes in real time without a CSS filter.
Download a white image up to 8K: Choose PNG, JPG, or WEBP and sizes from a single pixel to 7680 by 4320. PNG downloads are generated efficiently on the server and no image is stored.
Optional wake lock: Switch on Keep awake to use the browser's Screen Wake Lock API and stop the display from sleeping while the page is open.
Zero account or data collection: No sign-up, no uploads, no stored visits. Settings live in the URL, so sharing a link can reproduce the exact white shade and brightness.

Who Should Use White Screen

Remote workers and content creators who host video calls can place a bright screen beside the camera for flattering, soft fill light.
Designers, illustrators, and crafters who trace, backlight, or inspect artwork can use a tablet or laptop display as an impromptu light table.
Display technicians and careful shoppers who test screens for dead pixels, dust, or backlight bleed benefit from one uniform white field that makes defects obvious.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a white screen safe for my display?

Using a white screen for normal work or lighting sessions is safe on most displays. If you keep a bright white image on an OLED panel for many hours, lower brightness or set the built-in timer to reduce the risk of uneven wear.

Can I get a white image to download instead of using the live screen?

Yes. The download panel offers PNG, JPG, and WEBP in resolutions from 1x1 pixel to 8K. The file is generated on demand and delivered without a watermark or sign-up.

Does the white screen work on phones, tablets, and TVs?

Yes, on any device with a modern browser. On mobile you can add the page to your home screen to open it without browser controls, and on smart TVs you can open the link in the built-in browser and tap to go full screen.
