White Space Signal is opportunity decision intelligence for founders, operators, acquisition entrepreneurs and investors who need to decide what to build and which kinds of businesses to buy as AI reshapes the economy. Rather than publishing a stream of plausible startup ideas, it starts from structural change already underway in technology, infrastructure, regulation, procurement and enterprise behaviour, then follows the economics forward to find the constraints that become more valuable as intelligence gets cheaper. Every candidate opportunity is challenged on buyer reality, competition, distribution, capital intensity and a stronger future AI before it earns a published rank. The current number one BUILD and number one BUY dossiers are available in full without signup, so the depth of the research can be judged before paying for the wider ranking. One membership covers both frontiers, with founder pricing at $59 per month while continuously subscribed.

What Makes White Space Signal Stand Out

Separate BUILD and BUY scorecards: BUILD ranks opportunities to start, create or launch and uses 18 factors, while BUY ranks categories of existing businesses that may become more attractive to own and uses 20, because building a company and acquiring one are different decisions with different economics.
AI Defensibility testing: Every thesis has to survive a five-year question about what happens if AI becomes dramatically more capable, which separates businesses whose value compounds under stronger AI from those whose core task, pricing or moat could be automated away.
Prosecution before ranking: Candidates are treated as cases to disprove and are tested for exact competitors, platform bundling risk, realistic routes to customers and margin quality. Weak cases are combined or removed rather than collected.
Quality, Conviction and White Space kept apart: Three separate scores show how attractive the opportunity appears, how strong and complete the evidence is, and how much under-recognised value may still remain before competition or valuation catches up.
Dated, preserved calls: Every published ranking carries a date and historical judgments are retained instead of being rewritten after outcomes become obvious. A stable rank is reported as a valid result, not as a failure to publish movement.

Who Should Use White Space Signal

Founders and small teams choosing what to build next, who want a shortlist of commercial positions that survive scrutiny instead of a long list of idea prompts, and who need to know whether meaningful room is still open before committing years of work.
Acquisition entrepreneurs, searchers and private-business investors evaluating which categories of existing companies may become more valuable as AI spreads, including factors such as recurring revenue, owner dependence, licences, installed infrastructure and operating leverage.
Strategy, product and corporate development teams that need forward-looking market research on where economic value is moving, and that benefit from comparing two opportunities directly rather than reading another AI news feed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is White Space Signal?

White Space Signal is a subscription research and ranking system covering two frontiers: BUILD, which ranks new businesses, services, data layers and assurance layers worth creating, and BUY, which ranks categories of existing businesses worth owning. It tracks around 30 ranked signals and keeps emerging challengers separate from the ranked frontier until they clear the same evidence tests.

How does White Space Signal decide what ranks highly?

Each candidate is scored on Opportunity Quality, meaning how attractive the economics and strategic position appear, on Conviction, meaning how strong and independent the supporting evidence is, and on White Space, meaning how much useful room may still be left. Evidence is counted by distinct events such as buyers, budgets, deployments, transactions, standards and regulation, not by how many articles repeat the same announcement. Rankings move only when the evidence earns movement.
