The Launch Directory is a weekly startup launch directory that publishes a permanent, dated page for every product, startup and business launch it accepts. It is built for founders who need launch coverage that stays discoverable after launch week, and for readers who want a record of what launched, when, and how it performed. The core problem it addresses is the short shelf life of most launch posts: once launch week ends, many products lose the page, context and search visibility that made them findable. Each listing is structured for search engines and AI assistants such as Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude to read, quote and cite. The site combines weekly editions, community voting, leaderboards, paid placement that is kept separate from community vote rankings, and measured launch receipts.

What Makes The Launch Directory Stand Out

Permanent, dated listings: Every accepted launch becomes a dated page tied to a week and edition, and can carry a receipt with Domain Rating, referring domains and visits measured from launch day.
AI-readable pages and visibility checks: Listings are structured for search engines and AI assistants such as Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude to read, quote and cite. A free AI visibility check is available with a listing.
Weekly editions and category archive: Launches are grouped into weekly editions with previous and next navigation. Older entries stay browsable by week, section and category, including a recent launches view.
Community votes and separate paid placement: Signed-in readers vote on listings, and community leaderboards rank products by those votes. Paid billboard notices are labeled and kept apart from the vote record.
Developer access through MCP and API: A custom MCP endpoint lets users search launches, compare alternatives and submit products from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code. Developer docs and API keys support programmatic access.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is The Launch Directory?

The Launch Directory is a launch directory and weekly publication for new products, startups and businesses. Each accepted launch is filed on a permanent, dated page, grouped into weekly editions and connected to leaderboards, sections and an archive. It is free to read, with free and paid listing options.

How does The Launch Directory work?

Founders submit a launch through the site. Accepted entries are published with a date and week number, and signed-in readers can vote on them. Weekly editions collect the latest launches, while leaderboards rank listings by community votes. Paid options, such as a front page placement for a week or billboard notices, are labeled and kept separate from the community vote record. A basic listing is free, and paid placement starts at $5 for billboard notices and $19 for front page placement for a week.

Does The Launch Directory help with SEO and AI visibility?

The site is designed to give each launch a durable page that search engines and AI assistants can read, quote and cite. Listings include dated URLs, category sections and weekly archive context. A free AI visibility check with a listing shows whether ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity name the product when a buyer in its category asks, and whether they cite the site. The MCP connector also lets users search and compare launches from AI assistants and code editors.
