Agent Island is a free, open-source desktop companion for people who use Claude Code and Codex. It reads coding-agent session state locally and gives live status updates plus your-turn alerts, so you can see when an agent is working, waiting, or needs input without repeatedly checking terminal windows.
The app supports macOS and Windows. It is useful for developers who run long or parallel AI coding sessions and want a small, focused status surface instead of a hosted project dashboard. Repository contents are not sent to a hosted Agent Island dashboard.
