CertWorthIt shows which certifications job ads actually name, using AI-analysed data from 411,984 ads in 10 countries: check before you pay.
CertWorthIt is a research site that answers one question about professional credentials: is this certification worth it? Rather than repeating vendor marketing, it counts how often employers actually name certifications in live job ads. Job-ad counts come from the Adzuna API, and AI is used to analyse the listings, group them by role and write the resulting pages and reports. The October 2026 dataset covers 411,984 job ads across 10 countries and 105 certifications with job-ad data, spanning cloud and DevOps, cybersecurity, data and analytics, AI, IT support and networking, project management, Agile and Scrum, and business, HR and marketing. Readers can check a single certificate such as PMP, CCNA, OSCP or CompTIA A+, compare two credentials side by side, browse by field or job title, or take a four-question quiz when they are not sure where to start.
CertWorthIt is a free, data-driven directory and research site about professional certifications. It counts how often certifications such as PMP, CCNA, CISSP and AWS certifications are named in job ads collected from the Adzuna API, then publishes the results as certificate pages, comparison pages, field and role pages, country rankings and email reports.
The site does not score certifications by opinion. It counts job ads for a role in a given country, then measures the share of those ads that name a specific certification, course certificate or skill. A high share means employers ask for the credential by name. A very low share, such as a course certificate appearing in a handful of tens of thousands of ads, suggests the credential is rarely requested.
The figures reflect what employers write in job ads, not what they do during hiring, so a credential can still help even when it is not named in a posting. Counts depend on the Adzuna API, cover 10 countries and a fixed list of 105 certifications, and are a snapshot dated October 2026. Some links on the site are affiliate links, though the site states these do not change any verdict.
Yes. Checking certificates, comparisons, rankings and field pages is free, and the country report is delivered by email with no payment required. An optional newsletter covers new certification and job-ad data.
